Hi, I’m Amanda!

Welcome to Rusty Fence Farm. I am so glad you are here! This little corner of the internet is where I share my passions (passion does not mean perfect!): sheep farming, homeschooling, homemaking, cooking, and my faith. Think of it as a virtual cozy blanket and a cup of coffee (or tea) – a place where you can find encouragement and practical tips for all seasons of life.

For the past twenty years, I’ve been blessed to walk alongside my amazing husband. We’ve been on this homeschooling adventure for sixteen years and our sheep farm has been a delightful part of our lives for the last six. And, for the last sixteen years, my faith has been the anchor of my life.

I know what it’s like to juggle the joys and challenges of motherhood, homeschooling, creating a warm and inviting home, and nurturing your faith. It can feel overwhelming at times! That’s why I started this blog – to connect with other women on similar journeys, share what I’ve learned (and am still learning), and offer a bit of encouragement along the way.

Whether you’re a seasoned homeschooler, just starting out on your homemaking journey, exploring your faith, or simply curious about sheep (they’re pretty amazing!), I hope you’ll find something here that resonates with you. My desire is to create a warm and welcoming community where we can support and inspire each other.

When I’m not busy tending to my flock (both human and woolly), you can usually find me in the kitchen, planning our homeschool schedule, or working on content for our YouTube channel. I’m an introvert at heart and maybe a little quirky at times, but I love connecting with others and sharing this journey.
